An IP rating alone does not establish suitability for an explosive atmosphere. Ingress protection and explosion protection answer different questions. A project may need evidence for both.
Keep the two scopes separate

What a buyer should request
Obtain the exact model identification, its markings, the relevant certificate and the manufacturer’s instructions. Match the supplied model to the certificate scope; a logo in a brochure is not a substitute for that check. Have the responsible project specialist assess compatibility with the hazardous-area requirements and applicable local rules.
The IECEx equipment scheme concerns equipment intended for explosive atmospheres. Its certification does not remove the need to check the project’s installation conditions or local acceptance requirements. Likewise, an enclosure rating should not be treated as a promise of resistance to every chemical, impact or cleaning process.
